With English as my 2nd language, I always wonder what if I could truly speak like the native, describe my feelings - how deep and powerful would that be!
Then I realized it’s not a matter of how fluently you get at a language. Sometimes those words will never come to me just right. Singing is the way we express ourselves when speaking words are insufficient - Just like how I feel about painting.
“Saudade” is a Portuguese word that means a feeling of longing or yearning. This original piece is composed by my friend Russell Olesh.
The color scheme for this painting is to reflect purple/pink stage lighting - life is like a stage and we are our own stars in it.
